7. Advertising & Attribution

We use advertising attribution services to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. These services may collect:

  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
  • App install and event data (e.g., subscriptions)

On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before collecting your advertising identifier. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings. If you deny tracking, we may still receive aggregated, non-personally-identifiable attribution data through Apple's SKAdNetwork framework.

  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data
  • Advertising Tracking: On iOS, you can control ad tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in Settings > Privacy > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or opt out of your advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads.

Communication Preferences

  • Email Notifications: You can opt out of non-essential emails
  • Push Notifications: You can manage notification settings in your device

9. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active
  • Learning Progress: Retained to provide personalized learning experiences
  • Analytics Data: Retained for up to 2 years for service improvement
  • Deleted Accounts: Data is permanently deleted within 30 days

10. Children's Privacy

Vocabbie is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information immediately.
